The small Mill started life as a watermill, as did many houses in the area, driven by water from the Esse stream which runs along the front of it. Although the original workings have long since disappeared, there is still evidence here and there of its original purpose. The 2 hectares of land on which it sits comprise mainly steep hillside, thickly wooded with the indigenous oak trees. This unspoiled area is protected from further development and contains a rich variety of wildlife, including porcupines, squirrels, foxes, and a wonderful range of birds: Golden Orioles, Hoopoes, blackbirds, finches, swallows, to name a few.
The stream provides a constant sound backdrop which varies with the seasons; it is home to fish, frogs, damsel flies, crabs, and a variety of crawling and flying insects.

Originally consisting of only two rooms the present owners extended and modified the house to its present form. It now comprises: three bedrooms, living room and kitchen/dining room , two bathrooms – one with bath the other a shower room which has recently been upgraded, and a laundry room. There are two outside stores.
One of the bedrooms is on a mezzanine. The living room leads out to a terrace and garden and a terrace at the back leads onto a meadow and woodland. Parking space is shaded by a wisteria covered pergola.
The house will benefit from a degree of upgrading.
The lower level kitchen, being built into the hillside, has some damp penetration. This can be dealt with in various ways in consultation with a competent builder.
The roof over the bedrooms is the original and, although it is watertight, should probably be rebuilt with more insulation.)
Heating: radiators supplied by a gas fired boiler, with a wood burning stove in the living room.
Gas container buried in the rear garden
Water provided from a well in the front garden.
Sanitary drainage: two fosso biologic
Telephone: Telecom italia
